The MAX-12XZ has been developed to satisfy the power demand of all the 1/10 Touring car freaks from expert drivers to sportsman drivers. This is not a superficial model change, with most of major parts having been newly designed in the direction of improved performance to cope with the ever-evolving changes in chassis design. Continuing with the same square bore/stroke ratio of the former model 12TZ, increased power and torque have been realized.

Two 16mm dust caps for the carburetor and exhaust and one 3mm for the fuel inlet are supplied as standard equipment to prevent dust and other foreign matter from entering in the engine during storage periods.

Based on the factory tuned O.S. Speed 12XZ, the new MAX-12XZ maintains the same maximum potential as a standard engine and ideal power plant for the 1/10 touring class with gPower throughout the entire power band.

New material is employed for connecting rod for increased durability and the crankcase has been gbeefed uph for increased rigidity. The 3 port cylinder liner ports have been redesigned for increased torque and the crankshaft intake passenger shape is improved for higher efficiency. For smoother pick-up acceleration, the crankshaft counter-balance shape has been improved.

The crankcase and other major parts have been newly designed for increased torque at low to mid speed while a new 12F carburetor offers both easy handling and high response. The larger blue anodized outer head with special 12XZ laser marking offers increased coolin.
